“So I get to show local and national pride all while helping our youth? Sounds great, however I really don’t have time or a place to store a flag.”
You’re in luck. The Optimist Club of Van Wert will manage the details and handle the installation and storage of your flag. Our volunteers will install the flags on your property and remove after each holiday. Flags will be displayed for about 20 days during the year and will be a part of a community wide initiative.
“This sounds great! What all is included?”
We will place a 3’ by 5’ high-quality American flag on a 10’ flag pole within 15’ of the curb in front of your home or business. You can expect communication from our organization as a reminder a few weeks before the approaching holidays:

- Flag Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day
“How much will this cost?”
For $50/yr, we deliver and place your flag prior to each holiday and retrieve after the holiday. Remember, the Optimist Club of Van Wert is responsible for replacement of the flag and proper storage after the flags have been retrieved.
